Who we are

Descubre Marruecos Auténtico

Descubre Marruecos Auténtico is a local travel agency based in southern Morocco. We arrange private routes through the Merzouga desert, the imperial cities, the High Atlas and the Atlantic coast, always with our own vehicle and driver-guide.

We started with the idea of showing the country the way we know it, rather than the way it appears in a brochure. That is why we work with a small number of travellers at a time and build each route from scratch instead of selling fixed departures.

The way we put your trip together

How we work

It starts with a conversation. You tell us how many days you have, who you are travelling with and what you would like to see, and we put together a concrete proposal with the itinerary, the accommodation and everything it includes.

From there we adjust whatever needs adjusting until the trip fits you. Nothing is confirmed until you are happy with it, and the itinerary stays flexible on the road: if you want longer somewhere, we stay longer.

What we arrange

Our services

We know the ground because it is ours. We drive ourselves, we sleep in the same camps we take you to, and we work with families, riads and cooperatives from the area. That is the difference between a trip arranged from the place itself and one arranged from an office.

Desert routes

Circuits of 2 to 12 days from Marrakech, Fez, Tangier or Casablanca to the dunes of Erg Chebbi, with a night in a Berber camp.

Morocco circuits

Longer routes linking the imperial cities, the Atlas and the Sahara, with two nights each in Fez and Marrakech so you are not packing every morning.

Day trips and experiences

Day departures from Marrakech and short activities in Merzouga: camel at sunset, a night in a tent, quad and 4×4 across the dunes.
